Quest 2 native resolution is 1.7 on link slider, it's a huge render resolution as it's a high resolution screen, anything under that number is actually sub sampling Steam vr isn't actually supersampling when it states 150% as it's render resolution which factors in barrel distortion correction, you'd be better leaving steam vr alone to where the line defaults especially on quest 2 where link gives you resolution options.

Steam vr will take whatever value you have sent in link, as that is reporting the resolution to steam vr Im guessing having the resolution so high was probably one of the major contributing factors to my performance issues. Lowering that to 100% seems to have helped with the physics animation framerate bit but I haven't played much since making that change. Thanks.I also just realized my steam resolution settings were at 150%. The reason VD looks smoother is because it does not have this feature, but it'll still be dropping the frames. Rather than drop down to 45fps where it is noticeable, manually disable ASW in oculus tray tools.
